Scholarship Sponsored by 1 for 2 Education Foundation
Introduction
The Foundation invites highly motivated applicants who are living in the United States and who are either applying to or already enrolled in an accredited U.S. four-year college or university. Scholarship awards are dependent on the recipient’s acceptance to the specific U.S. four-year institution named in the award letter and on returning a signed scholarship grant letter and pledge to the Foundation.
Eligibility
- Must be residing in the United States at the time of application.
- Applicant’s chosen college or university must be located in the United States.
- Applicants do not have to be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Selection Criteria
The Foundation evaluates candidates based on:
- Alignment with the Foundation’s mission and values
- High school academic performance
- Demonstrated leadership and community service involvement
- Letters of recommendation (as requested)
- Willingness to honor the 1 for 2 Education Foundation Pledge
Scholarships Awarded
A minimum of two scholarships will be granted for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Residency and Legal Considerations
The Foundation does not assist in obtaining immigration documents for applicants and takes no responsibility for immigration matters. The Foundation is not liable for any tax consequences arising from scholarship awards.
Maintaining the Scholarship
To continue receiving funds each term, scholars must:
- Enroll as a full-time student every semester and submit proof of full-time status
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
Application Requirements (Checklist)
- Minimum GPA: 3.7 unweighted (4.0 weighted)
- Current, official transcript from the applicant’s school
- Signed agreement to the 1 for 2 Education Foundation Pledge
- Fully completed Foundation application form
- Proof of U.S. residency (applicant must be living in the United States)
- Intended/attending college or university must be in the United States
- If invited to interview: provide two letters of recommendation
- If selected as a recipient: attend the annual scholar retreat during the period the award is received
Important Notes
- Scholarship disbursement is contingent upon acceptance to the U.S. four-year college or university named in the award notification and receipt of the signed grant letter and pledge.
- Meeting the minimum application criteria does not guarantee an award; final decisions rest with the Foundation.
