The Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation takes immense pride in providing financial aid to deserving students in our region to help them advance their education.

Every year, we offer a multitude of scholarships funded by our generous donors.

Students are encouraged to go through our list of scholarship funds to check their eligibility for any of our scholarships. To apply for a specific scholarship, please get in touch with your school's guidance department.

Amherst County Retired Teachers Association Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to financially needy seniors at Amherst County High School to help them pursue further education.

Appomattox County Education Foundation Fund

This fund provides scholarships to seniors at Appomattox County High School who require financial aid to continue their education.

Alpha Action Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to local high school students to help them further their education.

Altavista EMS Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to students from Altavista High School, Gretna High School, and Faith Christian Academy who are interested in medicine or trade training.

Barnard Family Health and Wellness Fund

This fund offers scholarships to local students seeking higher education in healthcare fields related to musculoskeletal health.

Bedford County Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors graduating from Bedford County high schools.

Beth Johnson Boatner Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors at E. C. Glass High School.

Jane Barringer Bowen Educational Fund

This fund offers scholarships to E.C. Glass High School seniors who are pursuing studies in Theatre Arts or English.

Kevin Boeren Memorial Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to students graduating from Lord Botetourt High School or Heritage High School.

Dorothy M. Brooks Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to students at Randolph College who are residents of Lynchburg.

Beatrice and Roland Carter Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors at E. C. Glass High School.

Daniel Christian Nursing Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors at Appomattox County High School who are interested in nursing.

Leonard and Eudora Coleman Memorial Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors at Altavista Combined School who intend to major in engineering.

George and Gladys Costan Family Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors at Lynchburg City Public Schools.

E. C. Glass Athletic Boosters Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to senior athletes from E.C. Glass High School.

Donald and Virginia Farmer Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors at Nelson County High School.

Watt & Jennifer Foster Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to students from Randolph Henry High School, William Campbell High School, Rustburg High School, Brookville High School, and Altavista Combined School.

Jill Gardner Memorial Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors at E.C. Glass High School who have artistic talent, have received formal art instruction, and plan to study art at an accredited higher education institution.

Wally Gilbert Fund

This fund offers scholarships to senior athletes at Heritage High School.

Glass/Heritage Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from Heritage and E.C. Glass High Schools.

Edward Christian Glass Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from E.C. Glass High School who are pursuing a degree in Education.

Mary L. Gregory Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from Amherst County High School.

Guill Family Educational Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from Amherst County High School who will attend the University of Lynchburg.

Ted Hapgood Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to full-time employees at C. B. Fleet.

Sallie Holland and Wesley Peters Hicks Math Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from Bedford County high schools or seniors from Carolina County High school who plan to major in Math or math-related fields.

Edwin Nelson James Jr. Memorial Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from E. C. Glass High School.

Susan Rosser Jones Family Scholarship

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from Appomattox High School.

Troy Kiger Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from E. C. Glass High School who play soccer.

Ella M. Lawless Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to students who are members of Heritage United Methodist Church.

Edith B. Lee Scholarship Fund

This fund, managed by the Lynchburg Retired Teachers Association, offers scholarships to students at E. C. Glass High School interested in pursuing a career in education.

Dr. Gordon K. Leonard Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors of Amherst County High School who are interested in a career in health care.

Charles J. Lewis, Jr. / Omega Psi Phi Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to students who plan to major in STEM or Business.

Lynchburg Academy of Medicine Alliance Fund

This fund, managed by the Lynchburg Academy of Medicine Alliance, offers scholarships to students pursuing careers in the health professions.

Lynchburg Area Ministerial Association Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from Lynchburg City Schools.

Lynchburg Life Saving and First Aid Crew Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors of E.C. Glass High School who are interested in a career in education, preferably to become a K-12 teacher.

Janice & Kenneth Marston Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors of Appomattox County High School.

Martin Memorial Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors at Appomattox County High School.

Robert J. Miller Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from Rustburg High School and Heritage High School who have participated in an athletic team.

Calaeb Nowell Memorial Scholarship

This fund offers scholarships to students graduating from Appomattox High School who have demonstrated service in animal care, such as volunteering at a local animal shelter or other significant work.

Terrell Osteen Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors from public or private high schools in Lynchburg, Amherst, Bedford and Campbell counties.

William C. Perrow Agricultural Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to seniors at Appomattox County High School.

Walker and Mary Raine Pettyjohn Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to local high school seniors to fund entry into fine art classes.

Donald Seagroves Scholarship Fund

This fund offers scholarships to youth at Five18 Family Services (formerly Patrick Henry Family Services).

Marguerite F. Singleton Scholarship Fund
